You can find out more about BattleBallz Chaos at New Android, iPhone, iPad, Samsung Bada, Windows Phone 7, Blackberry and Symbian Game - BattleBallz Chaos Multiplayer. Theres screen shots and video up on there from the Android / iOS versions. The Playbook version is practically identical with 2 player support and achievements, although the Playbook version doesn't currently allow you to post achievements to Facebook
If you like arcade games then this is a must for you, if you do not then best to skip this one. Its certainly one of the better quality games found on App World.
If you do buy the game then start off on easy or normal mode until you get used to the mechanics or you will find the game too hard on hard and insane modes. The tutorial mode is also very useful for first time players, its very short so its well worth going through.
Lastly, if you find that there is too much screen clutter then disable particles in the options menu.
One thing to note about reviews, some people will love this type of game and some will completely hate it. Same is true for all games, just look how many 1 star reviews Angry Birds has received across various platforms although it is truly an amazing game. Its also worth mentioning that 1 star reviews with a very short none descriptive comment early on in an apps life can potentially be left by competing developers to devalue new apps and cut competition (quite a common practice I'm afraid and not something that we would ever stoop so low as to do). I'm not saying that is the case here but it is a possibility.
We need to encourage these developers. Thus is the first game so far, other than EA games, that is not Flash/AIR, and is basically made using the NDK. Actually, is was ported using the Marmalade SDK (formerly AirPlay), which added Playbook support this month. We need these developers BADLY.
I agree - also, according to twitter feeds from the publisher and BerryInformed, it only took 24 hours to port the game over using the new Marmalade SDK. The publisher also indicated that they have plans to bring over "many more games" over the next coming months. As far as I'm concerned, this can only be considered a good thing - Marmalade rocks!
Oh, I found this tweet to be of interest from PocketeersLTD regarding the speed in which they got their game approved through RIM. Particularly in light of how slow (nonexistent?) it's been going for other developers.
In short - it took 16 hours from time of submission to approval - apparently, it was the smoothest process that the company has ever been through. Pity that couldn't happen all the time.
Well, I am the guy on twitter ( @berryinformed ) that contacted the developers about this game and inquired about the Marmalade SDK and about the developer's App World experience. It seems that RIM has earned a bad reputation in the media and here in the forums due to 1. aMail and 2. Im+ from Shape Services. The guys at Shape seem to have a legitimate gripe with App World and RIM, but we should remember this is the only case we know of where a developer has had a problem with a properly coded app being held ip for no good, given reason.

Its worth nothing a few thiings:
* When BattleBallz Chaos was submitted to App World the number of new apps added daily was very small
* The app is Playbook only, maybe App World have a different submissions department for tablet apps? I know they are doing a big push to increase apps available for the Playbook and pull in developers
On a different note. With any luck we will be releasing our next game next month which is a physics based puzzler. Will post more details when they become available
I love BattleBallz! I play it all the time and even at work when no one is looking! Please let us know on Crackberry when your new game is release!
