It won't let me upgrade at all. I press the upgrade button and it says downloading but then just appears to show random download figures (they go up and down) without the progress bar moving. Very odd !

I get the same thing, and I have tried it a few times hours apart.

Download issue - ditto.
Ive let it download in this weird mode for 2 hours - assuming its an appworld bug / rim.

I have a pretty good internet package at home, 1gb is normally 10 mins for a torrent. 45 minutes for AppWorld. So not likely to be doing anythting good.

The free space on my disk hasnt changed in an hour or so. I suspect it wont complete.

Also, that error message means reboot your PlayBook - assuming it does it with all apps. Once I had to do date reset to fix it using OS 2.1. But it can also mean bad purchase information in AppWorld or - and this is super common with In-App purchases - it means you experienced a bug during an earlier iteration of the AppWorld backend. The result is a corrupt profile entry in the databse holding your AppWorld ID and the game needs to be deleted from your account.

Because tech support has become much worse for PB owners (no email support except for refunds and less-than-qualified phone staff) you porbably wont get any of the latter fixed (especially if its a free app...). So try the reboot.

The download may only be a gig, it seems to need about 3 gigs of free space to install. I kept getting errors until I cleared up about 3 and a half gigs, then it installed without a hitch.

Speed is now amazeballs! Also adds option to turn off water effects (you shouldn't need to), and identifies upgraded summon tunes by making their icons gold. That's all I've found so far.

Sorry guys... I've been fighting with this update all day.. I've even Deleted it and now I can't get it to Re-install. Done the Reset... checked my Appworld ID, any suggestions??

In the About under Hardware it shows 44.8GB, I can even download other pots.

If I delete Modern Combat and NFS Udnercover and Asphalt 6 - all free games from RIM via App World - will I be able to reinstall those after freeing up the memory?

I would really like the improvement in speed, but I'm 75% way through and don't want to uninstall it loosing a save. So my only option is to free up some memory. I currently have 2.3 GB free. Those three games are pretty big and should do the trick, memory wise. But, I don't want to lose them either. Will they be stored in "My Downloads" uninstalled list for reinstall? Or will they have to be purchased?

Well, the answer to this question, at least for Asphalt 6, is that it now requires a purchase to reinstall it. Maybe I can reinstall it from a backup...

Check out each of those apps and make sure that they remain free. I thought I read some of them may have changed price. In that case, you might be stuck having to buy them.

And while you might be able to back them up using the Desktop software, you canNOT selectively backup or RESTORE individual apps.

20 gb of free space, restart, then the three-button reboot,
still getting nothing but wacky numbers with no download progress.



UPDATE: i tried again today. Plugged in my pb, then went app world and started all updates, including this one. Walked away and let it do what it wanted for a couple of hours, and when i returned all was well! Update successful.

It's still not working for me, I still get the random 1/2/3/4Gb download figures with no actual progress when trying to install it, over 30gb free on my PlayBook too.

Ditto, 27GB free and still will not install. Definitely something as simple as lack of space.

This seems to be affecting the 64GB playbooks more than the 16 or 32.

I am running 2.0.1.1088 on 16gb. Not been able to download. Uninstalled now wn't reinstall. Plenty of space. Not been able to buy upgrades within the game for about three weeks either.
