So you knOw when you go to 7-11 or a grocery store and they have apple iTunes cards and so on. I think it would be awesome if RIM came out with that because I hate using my credit card all the time to buy apps.

This has been suggested many times on these forums and the official forums as well. It would be a good idea: (i) doesn't require a credit card thereby making it easier for people to purchase items should they not have a credit card (young people) or choose not to use one; and (ii) increase RIM's prescene in the eyes of the consumers, i.e., everywhere you go you see iTunes cards, Xbox360 cards, and PS3 cards. Bringing out App World cards at these same locations will help show that RIM actually exists and that it has an App World.
I've seen people tweet this recommendation to RIM's Alec Saunders. Hopefully someone is listening.
Another option are pre-paid credit cards. Generally you can find them on the same rack as the iTunes cards! And you're not tied to any one product. :)
Carrier Billing is an option for some as well.
Hells YEAH !!! My father REFUSES to use his credit card online... for ANYTHING. Direct billing has helped a bit but he is still timid about it. PrePaid AppWorld cards would be great for people like him  and to give as gifts :)
I'm sure RIM has put every last thought into billing with carrier ( on PB ). There obviously is an obstacle. It's a shame we can't register our carrier on the RIM website and bill PB apps through there. Who knows.
All i know is they are missing out on a large population of people without credit cards. Sure these people could walk over to a 7/11 and get a pre paid card. But those cost an extra $5 for fees. Here a $25 card costs $29 and change.
you know, app world accepts paypal too, and paypal can be set up directly from your bank account, so there's that
Last Christmas I bought my son a ipod touch (which thankfully he never uses since he got his bb phone) and for he was able to buy itunes cards. This Christmas I've bought my 3 kids a playbook each so gift cards or paper vouchers that you buy online like at Amazon would be brilliant.
Carrier Billing is more likely because RIM wouldn't have to get involved in a physical product.
I have only ever used pre-paid credit cards online
