Thank you.
yes the Android "non HD" version is free, but does not run like
this "HD" version at all.
play and compare and you'll see its more than worth the $5 dollars.

Actually due to Appworld convertion rates, Angry birds HD is 2 pesos cheaper on my PB :D, 60$ on Ipad and 58$ on Playbook :p
i bought the game to see what all the hype is about and to show developers they playbook can make them money. on payday i will buy some more apps for my pb, i spent too much on presents this year :)
...but BB devices are not toys... :D
LOL...having played the, uh, HD versions, I don't see the differences between them and the regular versions, but I have been wrong before.

You can't be serious! BB devices maybe, but we're talking about a PlayBook here!
have a minor issue to report. downloaded both ab and rio. both are working well except for the audio which stops after roughly 5 minutes. once, it came back briefly then went away. tried looking to see if anyone else was having the same issue but tired wading though the compliants about price and those not understanding/accepting the significance of this for pb. to that end, let me try rephrasing it for you: ab's success on pb will underscore bb app worlds viability. not to mention, even business types blow off steam with video games from time to time!
The original version was updated thanks to THEIR birthday present...TO US...now all the levels are unlocked...if that helps...but that's the Android phone version so I'm not sure about the tablet version...but $5 for a game is silly!!!
is the free version avalable on pb?????.really i dont forsee a drastic dif in hd on a silly little game but i dont have the paid version.would benice if they offered the free version for people that havent tried it and then make a decission.hd or not who cares its free on every other platform
as others have said, at this point I'm happy to support developers creating PB games. and they're smart to capitalize on pent up demand for now. at some point soon, I'm sure they'll go on sale or have a permanent price drop.
Damn some of you are a bunch of whiners. It's $5, you've been crying for the game for yonks and now you won't pay up? Jebus. Rovio is a billion dollar company, it knows consumer behaviour and it knows the market size with PB is tiny tiny tiny compared to the iPad. Don't blame them at all for this price.
That's great! I hope other developers take note of this.
I myself bought two of them and I have to say that they run very well on the PB.
have heard so much about AB..had seen how it plays but never tried one, always thought it is for kid.
Just spent 5 bucks for the playbook HD version..my intent was to see for myself what makes Angry Bird such a big hit!
..I must say, It is surprisingly more fun than I had expected.

Wait till Cut the Rope arrives...it should take up one of Angry Birds position on the most purchased app!
Bought Rio yesterday, went back & picked up the other two today. So much fun - totally worth it to me. Can't wait for Cut the Rope to be released. Merry Christmas as far as I'm concerned! :)
I was an AB holdout. I'm a big fan of PocketFrogs on my iPod Touch and had resisted all the AB hoopla. Finally caved last night and bought AB, as much to support the developers as to play, BUT, once I started, it was hard to put it down!
To address your issue, I played for over an hour at least twice and the audio was solid the whole time. Have you restarted you PB lately? Sometimes that clears any minor glitches that surface. Since my PB is so stellar, I forget that sometimes clearing its memory might be a good thing.
I bought the HD and Rio versions.
i've had the audio come out on me a few times.
maybe i will try your suggestion and reboot my device.
the more we support the developers, the more they are inclined to make apps for our platform.
Shuckss...was about to give up the $5 coffee to donate https://help.sos-usa.org/sslpage.aspx?pid=428, but I've been crying for the game for yonks and now I have to pay up...damn you Rovio!!
I said I wasn't going to get it... Then I got it.
Anyone loose sound randomly while playing the game. It happened for me.
EDIT: Never mind. It appears the sound cuts out on my device after minutes of playing. rebooting.
Is there a way to when you shrink the screen by finger touch to where the playing field fills the screen and not have the field move to one side or the other, but stay where you left it? Certainly not a game stopper, but just a little annoying.
I knew this app was a big deal, but after playing it I now see why. it is addictive! So glad its native and not a cheesy Android port.
No whining here...I can get the OG/Rio/Seasons for free (the original is good enough)...I just think it a bit much to pay for a game...but that's me...I wonder WHY things on Android are cheaper then on BlackBerry
Supply and demand, I think.

Just got Rio. $5 seems steep for this game but i love my pb and i want to support it
