Buzz,
No issues here with you. The problem I have seen before in Android forums is people expecting things that are just not reasonable. There is no "official' whenit comes to this stuff. It is all experimental and any new beta throws out a lot of the work that came before the beta.
This stuff changes so quickly that it is difficult to stay on top of it all without reading all the threads and making an informed decision.
If a person is not sure of what they are doing and can not live without their Playbook then this stuff is a bad idea. I have no such restrictions and am not concerned about possibly doing a security wipe and losing my data.
I do not want to see someone bricking their device but if they do not do the research required or decide to be early adopters then the decision is on them. I say this as someone who has done more than one security wipe working with this stuff.
Let me add my horror story... i tried installing sys.android.bar... it said android player for 1 min the force quit tried again same thing... then restarted and no luck still...so i deleted the app cuz i was over it... thats when i realized none of my apps which i installed from .bar files didnt work.... no more words with friends or im+.....
Did a system wipe which was horrible... left with only the browser app and setup...
Plugged into desktop software where it asked if i wanted to update to 1.0 while i was running 2.0, did it and restored all the preloaded apps.
i installed sys.android.bar fine into my PB, after the install i restarted the PB when the restart will complete and i tap on the icon Android Player it will popout and close! what can i do please help 2 times security wipe clean install android player but the problem still. operating system 2.0.1358 please help me. thanks
Jesus mods, please lock this thread down. There's no reason it needs to even exist anymore and clearly people can't comprehend that it's pointless to post in here or try to get it working.
