I was showing a friend of mine my new toy and she had some questions that I really didn't know the answer to.

    1. Do we know when the android apps will be available?
    2. Does the bridge work only with a blackberry phone? (I thought yes)
    3. Will SMS text become available on playbook?

    Thanks for any responses.

I'm thinking that when android apps do arrive that users will be a little disappointed. The app player will only run android 2.3 apps that do not use native android libraries. That will negate all of the games and any other graphic intensive apps. What will that leave? Barely anything, and of that "barely anything" how many of those developers will be willing to do the work necessary to submit the app to RIM for approval into app world?

Honeycomb has the advantage of running android 2.2 apps, the PB doesn't. I took my PB back because the more research i did on the android app player the less of a saving grace it seemed to be.

I wish we would get some native apps like wlm and twitter. I use wlm a lot and I hate having to go to my netbook just to use it.
