    why is it always in wide screen? can't the playbook os convert to different aspect ratios?

    There are lots of black borders. Was hoping for a 1:1 pixel mapping whilst using citrix / splashtop.
    Only app that seems to do full screen is the photo viewing app.

    The HDMI output is mirrored means you can only get 1024x600 screen resolution on your external screen. Unless RIM or Citrix change it there is no way to get the resolution higher.

    Another option might be to check your flat panel options to see if it has a "stretch" mode when running a non-native resolution. Some screens will have that option and others will just do the 1:1 mapping of it with the black boarders.
