Hello crackberry users, I have missed you. I gave up my tmo bb 8320 for a android HTC G1 in Nov 2008. I just wanted give you a update on my G1 experience and also discuss some pros and cons.

First the 8320:

Pros:
1. Great email app ( i really miss the bb mail)
2. Black messenger
3. Better battery life by a long shot
4. Ringer volume and vibrator
5. I miss some of the blackberry apps.
6. I also miss having the desktop app to backup data.
7. I miss the blackberry holster as well
8. UMA (this is a great Tmo feature)

Cons:
1. The web browser sucks on the bb
2. Had to reboot the POS about once a week

Second the G1

Pros:
1. Great web browser.
2. Email works great with gmail.
3. Big Screen for a smartphone
4. App store
5. Auto sync over the air
6. Firmware update over the air

Cons:

1. Short battery life
2. Email sucks with anything other than gmail
3. No UMA (i can't understand why this is missing from this phone)

Overall I am really enjoying my G1 but I do miss some of the blackberry features. I really miss the blackberry community. Once tmo has a 3G BB and make a web browser that is much better I will be back.
