I picked up a couple of firesale Touchpads a month ago for gifts for family members. I found WebOS to be quite nice thanks to some recent updates. For the price, you really cant go wrong. The browser is very good and it makes a good digital photo frame. It also comes with Skype and Kindle (and email too, but I havent used that). I did have an issue connecting to my home wifi. This got resolved by getting my aging router replaced (thanks, Telus). My major complaints are how heavy it feels compared to the PlayBook and the quality of the screen resolution (same as iPad, but not as nice as the PlayBook). I'm still quite happy with my PlayBook and prefer it over the Touchpad, but cant wait for OS2 to drop.
My last phone, 1/2 the price of a new one.....
Most re-furbished stock, is folk getting them, deciding they are too complicated, and then returning them.
My phone had the phone unwrapped, the memory card unwrapped and fitted to the phone. That's all that was "re-furbished" the charger was still sealed in the box.
those things were the same overpriced as the pb when first released.500$.out of the box they have more apps available and beter battery life.and can now run full android.for 99 their a great deal.if available in canada i will grab 1 for sure and msybe more for gifts.refurbs are mostly as posted above.the pb i am on right now was a unhappy return.cord not even removed from box.i bought 2 refurb hdmi laptops at bestbuy for under 250each.still workin good

They are usually a great deal.
Jeff
a great deal if your saving money. the touchpads were $99 brand new and now they are selling refurbished for $99. how much of a deal is that? according to my math your not saving that much. but i could be wrong.

Of course your maths is correct.
BUT it's your only chance to get a machine now, so in that respect, it's the bargain of a lifetime ;-)
