I have read some articles about the BB10 (z10 & q10). Is it true that it won't be using the BIS for the BBM? Instead you need to avail a regular data plan in-order to use the BBM? It's really expensive now since I'm only loving my BB for BBM, text messaging & calling. Here in Philippines, BBM-only Service costs Php99/month & DATA PLAN costs Php999/month (US$1=Php42)

Please correct me if I'm wrong & give me infos. I have a curve 9300 & iPhone 4S, planning to dispose them for the Q10 & iPad

BIS means that all data (BBM, email, internet op other chat) goes over the blackberry server. Thans why jou pay for BIS.
The BlackBerry 10 uses the the BlackBerry specific (BBM, BlackBerry Protect) service over theire servers, al other are not compresed data.... you Need a databank for that, BlackBerry specific come as bonus.
The data usage goes u tho, no compresed data anymore.
