    So I recently bought a batch of RIM 850 devices and managed to get most of them to turn on. They are all running on this custom OS I have never seen before. Looks like it is RIM OS v2.5 but stripped really hard and replaced with software for drivers to log their shipments, breaks, pick ups etc. Thought I'd share before wiping the devices and installing the latest OS.

    Latest OS....

    Do those still work in your area? Taught they ran on a old network technology.

    Would make for cool BlackBerry collectibles....

    I wonder if this was for a FedEx type company. I also wonder how much it cost them to have this built for them! RIM in the early days was hungry for business so i wonder if this was done for free if they purchased so many devices!
