I still use an 8320 I bought in 2007. It still works with no problems. I change the housing/trackball every year just for a change. I won't give it up until T-Mobile refuses to support it anymore. I've had an iphone, a G1, a myTouch and a Behold II. Nothing has come close to my berry. If you like who gives two s**** what anyone else thinks.

My 8310 was the most indestructible Blackberry I've ever owned. It seriously would not give way to the accidental drops it went through. In its OEM skin case it was absolutely invincible and it never did falter. If anything you should be laughing at them when their phones fail and your Curve is still going strong.

My son uses an 8310 and I still am amazed at what a good looking phone it is. He wore out the 8700 I had him on (averages 3000 texts per month). He doesn't have data but is able to work around it quite well.

I'm actually messing with a 7230 right now for some old-skool goodness, trying to get it up and running. The OS it is currently on, 3.7.1.41, doesn't have OTA activation option and our BES is a VM so its kinda hard to do a wired activation. I'm hoping the update to ver 4 will resolve that...

I saw an old dude the other day using an 8700g. I was impressed at the condition it was in. not a scratch or dent. It was like he just opened it out the box.

    Really a classic moment.

I still see a lot of 88xx BBs in use still.

This 7230 is being a pain. It's amazing how easily we forget how cludgy things were back in the day. There isn't a Wipe Handheld option on the old devices, you have to set a pword and then put it in wrong until it wipes...

That depends. Do YOU find it acceptable? All that matters is that you use something that you feel allows you to do all that it is you need to do in the best way you can do it. Do you know many people who are ashamed because they use a jackhammer to tear up concrete instead of some futuristic laser cannon?

All I'm saying is that you should only upgrade when you feel the device you have no longer works for you in the way you need it to.

Hey it all comes down to what YOU think about your berry. Is it working good? Does it get the job done. Who cares what anyone else thinks?

Personally I still like the old 8300 series. I've never used it, but it felt like perfection.

should i be ashamed and upgrade or is this an acceptable model?
I'd say the Curve 8310 is a cool phone. Can't it upgrade to OS5?

I agree. The 8310 is probably the coolest BlackBerry, in my opinion. I like it so much. Don't listen to your friends, if anything, many people are still looking to get one.
