Would my 7250 be counted as old enough to be a paperweight yet??

I would say it is. However, there are still plenty of people using that device and loving it. Also, it's still being sold as a new device at Verizon's website.

My 6710 still works fine: its the Com. 3 port on my Heathkit 286 that slows up the intellisync.

I am using a 7250 I got off ebay a few months ago for $60 with 0 minutes on it (probably a refurb). I went from a Cingular 8700 to it and it was VERY hard to go backwards.

I did not want to spend 500+ (i have a demo line and have to pay the actual price for equipment) for Verizon's 8703 when I knew the 8800 series was coming .

NOW I have to choose between the 8830 at $515 (current dealer cost) or the Curve for free but pay for service on Cingular (I already have one demo line and they won't give me another).

If you are happy with your phone hold on to it as long as you can! Technology is always changing and it costs $$$ to stay keep up. Maybe by the time you are ready the curve will have hit Verizon and you will really have some options. The other good thing is when you do upgrade you will be skipping an entire generation (8703).

    Cheers

I still use a 7250. Sometime I wish I had that new fangled 8830 or even the 8703e, but hey I would have to pay full retail for either so until someone wants to give me one, I am sticking with the 7250.

You do realize that the distractions you speak of with Android are completely self induced don't you? You act like Android forces you to constantly change widgets or change skins...haha

I clear all browser data at least once a week. My dad's playbook has the same thing. And it's not the first time I've heard this on the forums either. It in fact exists. I'm not saying it always takes 30 secs. Sometimes 5 and sometimes 10, but regardless on what other platform do you have to wait to use a device because you closed an app? That's my point. On the playbook, sometimes it takes upwards of 30 secs. Browser only though. Other apps doesn't seem to affect this.

Umm edit: CB app on my nexus 4 seems to have posted this extremely incorrectly. To a different thread and in reply to the wrong person :s

All playbooks? Wrong. Browser normally takes 3 to 5 sec to close. Cleared your cache, cookies etc lately? Have you used all your storage on too much media? They behave that way if you exceed 80% of your GBytes.
Playbooks run well currently but it's the fear of not getting the updates and losing function. It's only Linkedin now, but next week it could be youtube, or my daily newspaper that stops working.
