I have just been routing through some cupboards at work and have come across an R900 Blackberry. As I work in Blackberry support I am rather interested in getting this thing working (not to actually deploy to anyone of course, just for nostalgia sake). And while I have too many Micro and Mini USB chargers, I can't seem to source a Charger for this model. Tried Ebay and searched Google to no avail. Has anyone any ideas where I could get one? Also it will probably need a new battery so any ideas for this too would be appreciated.
Realising this thread is very very old, so apologies for bumping it but i've just found a box of 20 of these complete with chargers. Most in almost new fully working condition. I seem to recall that we did a trial with BT and they never bothered to collect the phones when we decided not to bother.
Might be able to sort out a charger if you're still interested.
Hey, I've just got an R900, complete with charger, holster, and everything from eBay. Got an Orange SIM in it now and tried to activate BB service, and nothing's happening - yet it's using the same network as my Curve. Does anyone know if I could get this thing to work? I know it's a relic, but it's a really cool relic and I'd like to use it.
i have a fast way to unlock this R900 (we call this black berry 5820 in china ) ,which needs the serial number of IMEI and PRD on your machine, just like below photo:

Any joy with it? I also have an old r900 and would to unlock it as o2 was sold to 3 here.
Be advised that you need to open up the r900 to get to the battery and that is glued to the chassis, you will have to pry it out. 9/10 times the battery is still alive, just let it on charge for a few hours and it will come back to life. I have repaired about 150 of these this last year, I refurbish them for profit.
