BB 8520 Curve HELP!!!

Does anyone know how to set custom ringtones for SMS messages and calls for individual contacts on my 8520....i've read all the posts and tried everything they said and I still can't get mine to work....i'm totally thinkin it's operator error on my end. Help before I drive myself crazy with this!!!
