Sure it is. According to BlackBerry Z30 battery life test - GSMArena Blog the LG G2 already beat the battery life of the Z30. And since the article linked by the OP shows the G3 as beating the G2, it's a pretty simple conclusion.

Because the Z30 doesn't have the market share to warrant consideration. Most people don't know it even exists.

More than likely. But then again, there are plenty of things that "most" people don't know. It's hardly an indictment. Bet that "most" people don't know what that word means.

Their comparisons are garbage. I owned the G2 and the Z30 simultaneously, the the Z30 blew it out of the water. I got at least 25 percent extra battery life over the G2. However, the G2 battery was impressive for an android.

No offense to those complaining, but why would they do a comparison with a phone that people don't know exists and that is hard to buy?

I'd take benchmarks with controlled tests over one person's casual observation. Declaring the comparison's garbage is a bit of a stretch.

Under moderate usage from around 7am to 11pm I go to bed with around 30-40% most days on my G2. The G3 has better battery life than the G2 with a beefed up screen and processor, AND the battery is removable? Sign me up.

So I guess the OP is now happy his Z30 didn't get showed up in some comparison....

Too many here hate Android and iOS much they fail to take any note of those devices... just as Jim and Mike.

Even if the Z30 scored somewhere around the plebeian "average", any mention of its existence would help.

If you are a tech journalist or (worse) a "researcher" (as source is claimed to be) you shouldn't aim to merely provide the same breadth of information known by an average reader/user. As an "expert", your goal should be to expand your readership's breadth of knowledge, challenging the audience to consider a different world view, or assumptions. It's a shame that most of these so called "tech writers" give very little weight to such an integral part of their jobs. They're really no better than the Best Buy employee reading off the price tag sticker description when asked about a device.

Did they really just forget about BlackBerry? How difficult is it to keep track of such a limited set of information? I guess I'm glad they are writing Internet junk and not holding important professions that could directly impact people's lives or livelihoods.

One explanation is they only included devices with flagship specs: screen,CPU or GPU that would impact battery life or were a benchmark standard. Thus Moto X and Z30 didn't make the cut.

Any device without notable specs and low marketshare is going to make it into many benchmarks with current gen devices.

It's silly to think the Z30 has battery life competitive with the latest flagships. The reason isn't so much because its specs aren't "notable"; but, that each generation of new Snapdragons have had vastly improved battery life. Notice how the G2 doesn't outlast the G3?

Also, if it's any consolation, the Lumia 1520 isn't on there either and it likely sold more units than the Z30 and actually has a Snapdragon 800 processor. No need to take things so hard.

EDIT: Finally, stop bashing BGR, guys. The test was conducted by Phone Arena and BGR just republished the results. You're giving them page clicks for no reason at all. (BGR isn't even the source of the data!)
