BlackBerry isn't thinking of market share with these promotions, they're just clearing their inventory of Z10's before the new announced phones hit the market and the existing Z10 will look like a dinosaur.

They're just trying to get some money back from their $900 million Z10 inventory write off.

Yup! You're right! But instead of restocking in parts, they need to bring in more phones and sell them as fast as possible! (in India atleast!)

marketshare is important...it will determine BB future phone device, and to keep the carrier and retailer not completely abandon BB. without any support from carrier and retailer , BB will facing more difficulities and make it harder for them to comeback in the market...

Seems they still can't execute correctly. Here they have folks wanting this phone and can't seem to keep it in stock. They have tons of these phones. Why are they running out if stock?

    Incompetent mgmt. Nothing new.

Maybe they don't have the proper model for that market. When they set up the manufacturing don't you think they would have produced a certain number of each version of the Z10 for each market. They may have lots of devices in the inventory but not necessarily ones that fit with Indian carriers. Incompetent management perhaps but more that they got their forecasting wrong in the first place than anything now. Unless, of course, if they can change settings etc to fit Indian demand. That might take some time but I'm not sure they can actually do it.
