T-Mo's UMA worked absolutely flawlessly for me when it first launched. But over the years, the VOIP network started to fail for me. It dropped calls or calls went "garbled" far too often. When you are on a very important business call and it goes to garble, or, simply drops for no reason, that's a big problem.

Also, as Hotel WiFi became more popular and EVERYBODY and their brother streamed WiFi every night in the hotel room, VOIP didn't work any longer, since there was not enough bandwidth to make a call.

Again, I miss T-Mo's UMA or next gen VOIP service, but with the problems I had, I much prefer ATT's network. My office and home have 5 solid bars and I never drop calls. T-Mo gave me 1 bar at both Home and Office, so I had to use WiFi calling. And unfortunately, toward the end, it started to fail on me. I even upgraded my WiFi router twice, and had a very big pipe of bandwidth (60 meg down 4 up) and it still didn't work well.

    Yet I still miss it.

For those of you who want your WiFi calling back, if you load the newest leaked OS 10.3.2.2789, you'll be back in business! Loaded it earlier today on my Shop BlackBerry Passport, and it's working great! Loading the OS alone enabled WiFi calling, and then there is also a bar file to install that will let you change the settings.

Nice. Didn't need to use anything leaked in my case, I'm on TMO US, with BlackBerry Classic. Not sure if the software update was there and I only just noticed it this morning but I kicked it off and WiFi calling is here!

I probably wouldn't be as happy if I didn't just get the classic, I imagine many have been waiting since release. Anyway here are screens, and now there's a little WiFi calling icon on the top right indicating I'm not currently connected.

Just for those who get nervous about the word 'leak', its actually an official update for TMO BB Classics and the OS has been whitelisted for all BB10 devices. So it's A. OK. !!
I'm using it on my Z10 and its great!

Yes! You are right! WiFi calling turns on as soon as the update reboot completes. However, I need the link to bar file as I cannot locate how to manage WiFi calling.

Is the answer I am seeking buried in this thread or am I flat out seeing the tree for the forest?

This is true, I used sachesi to load the blitz and now have wifi calling option on my unlocked Passport on tmobile and at home ATT Uverse wifi and anywhere I'm near wifi and texts go out too, its all part of the blitz. You get a pop up screen asking if you want to use wifi or not, I haven't tried to install the tmobile file where it allows you to enable or disable wifi calling yet, probably do it this weekend. The Blackberry Classic got an BBOS10 update which set up wifi calling for BB Classic, right now for Passport you need to do the blitz! And a tip O the hat to the hoopitz for tip!
