Yeah. Most of the people rely on Facebook, and the things posted in their walls...

Yes, I've been doing that for years!!

As a Dropbox replacement, I bought a $35 raspberri Pi 1GHz computer, and have a 64GB SD Card attached.

I port forwarded FTP for to this device and I have my own personal cloud.

Mini dlna streams cartoons for my kids.

    I love this thing.

Nice interview! What makes me laugh is that people on that web site (Edward Snowden?s Privacy Tips: ?Get Rid Of Dropbox,? Avoid Facebook And Google | TechCrunch) are commenting on rights of people and how Snowden was a hero. The funny part is that the only way of posting on the site is through logging into Facebook and posting on the site. So much for the title and warning from Snowden (Stay away from facebook, google and dropbox. I bet all of them have Iphone and Android cell phones.

You need to make a duplicate copy and install it in a different geographical zone, in case of power outages, earthquakes, hurricanes, flooding, bombings, regional warfare, etc.

Then you may have made a cloud storage replacement.

It's not the first mention. And it won't be the last. You have no privacy unless you have your own personal network you can log in and nobody else
