    Greetings,

I was just reading the article about how the NSA stole encryption keys from a company that manufacturers SIM cards.

My SIM is branded by Telus. How can I tell who the actual manufacturer is?

    Thanks,
    Shane.

Just assume it is one of the ones stolen by the not so anonymous

I am what I am, and that's all that I am.

According to that article it is alright to hack into some private company without getting into trouble with the law but if we do that we are going to jail......not right

It's the gubbermint, or one of their agencies on the loose. What can you say...? :-)

NSA pays for the best hackers in the world, if they want you they can get you. I don't get nightmares over it. And no a Blackberry nor any other phone connected to the wider world isn't going to stop it.

All the Snowden stuff that keeps leaking out is a couple years old at least, who knows what they can do now.

I posted in the Telus forum.

I think the encryption key is hard-coded into the SIM card.
