    So RIM has an Installed Base of 111M based on the above info.

    RIM says they have around 80M.

    But there are only 56M BBM users.

    And they think integrating BBM into BB10 and it's apps is the way to go? Seem like a pretty big percentage of BB users don't use BBM...

    Maybe they should be looking at the 1B installed base out there as potential customers.

    That's the idea behind getting BBM out to other platforms. Could generate a fair chunk of change if people could be convinced to use it instead of iMessage or Whatsapp or kik, etc. For a messaging system to gain traction it's got to have people you want to message with and offer some tangible advantages.
