This is a mainly opinion based post, but nonetheless I wanted to point something out for the CrackBerry community.

Many of you may have seen the leaked image of the "upcoming" Samsung Galaxy F" (Attached Below) - I've heard lots of Apple Fans have been going a little nuts over it resembling the "diamond cut" frame of the iPhone 5/S (Also Attached) saying it's a complete rip-off, and to expect nothing less from Samsung.

The first thing I was quick to draw about the 'rage' was that the 9900/30 series had a frame with the same polished edge aluminum look, but is earlier than both devices. (The iPhone 5 was announced in September of 2012, and the 9900 in 2011). Clearly, it resembles the iPhone's more, but take it as you will. Personally, I don't mind it either way - I love that design accent.

I don't let to get too into the debate of "ripping" design, but I think it should be noted that Apple might not be so innocent themselves.

Though, there's no way of telling if the leaked image is even real to begin with.

(The Samsung F is the ONE image, with the GSM watermark)

To clarify: parts of this are intended to poke fun at how inane it is to accuse manufacturers of Small design infringement.

Whether it's design elements or software features, everyone "borrows" ideas from each other. If you look around, you'll find examples of it everywhere. Of course, when you visit an enthusiast site, you will come across outrage over what some fans of a certain platform might feel is "theirs". Case in point, just look at some of the posts here after I/O or WWDC. The reality is, no manufacturer is innocent.

I don't understand the new obsession with the 'XYZ ripped Blackberry!' threads.

Not only is it unlikely that the design originated from Blackberry, this is such a minor aspect of a smartphone that I don't think it's even worth discussing.

I thought pointing out gestures and actionable notifications was frivolous but this thread is definitely a new low. Now we are comparing the frame of a random Samsung device that might not even be popular.
