T-Mobile is in other countries so don't forget that. Your source, did he mean T-mobile as a whole or just in other countries excluding the United States?
The question asked was as follows.
Are carriers in the US going to be offering the new Passport?
    Yes.
    Even T-mobile?
They are testing it as we speak.

Take it for what it's worth. The source hasn't led me a stray yet.

Most carriers carry blackberries so this is not really major news.
Umm yes it is, if it's true. T-Mobile didn't even carry BB's last flagship (Z30) and BlackBerry has since severed ties with them. If they're testing the Passport it'd be a big development.

T-Mobile testing the device is by no means a confirmation they will start selling it.

Carriers still need/want to test OS updates before pushing them OTA, so they could just have a bunch of test devices for that purpose. They already stated they will keep supporting the OS for existing customers/unlocked devices, that explanation makes more sense to me.

    BlackBerry 10 signed.

They would be no reason to use the Passport if that was the case. In defense of the OP, the content of the way the question was asked suggested otherwise

Is there any reason to expect this in the USA? VZW is the only carrier that sold the z30, not even all of them sold the z10. I see no reason to assume everyone will carry it, especially considering T-Mobile lost contracts with BlackBerry over a twitter squabble.
It was more than a twitter squabble. T-Mobile was a partner with BlackBerry for over 10 years. Then, this year, they offered a program for customers to trade in their BlackBerry for a $200 credit. That is not how normal business partners treat another partner. Why wasn't the offer open to turn in any smart phone for a $200 credit? It was a negative action that T-Mobile took against only BlackBerry. So, that is why Chen ended the partnership, because T-Mobile decided to no longer promote selling the phones of a company that they had a business partnership with.

It wasn't a Twitter deal at all.

After all, it's business, and partnerships are better than animosities.

BlackBerry has business customers, and so has T-Mobile, and these customers surely want to have a look at the Passport....

That screenshot is a rendering of the device and not the actual device.

Although I also read somewhere that Rogers is testing the device too.

Not a big deal at all. Now confirm that it will be carried in stores and not have to be ordered, and you will really have some news. Nothing will change unless you can walk out of a store same day with it.

Nice find indeed! The video states that it will run apps with no letter boxing? Did I hear that right? That's not what I thought was happening?

Also love how the passport stands upright on its own

And yes the T mobile logo was very clear...hmmm

How would your TMO source know what other carriers are or are not doing? Or is this source at BlackBerry?

Unless something changed in the last 3 weeks, T-Mobile isn't going to carry the passport nor the classic.

AT&T and Verizon are indeed testing new devices, as for Sprint, I have no clues
