Strange. Just got an update to 10.2.1.3062 update from Bell. Only 800kb. Wouldn't think they'd bother with this update if 10.3 is coming this week.

What if you bought an unlocked phone from BlackBerry themselves, do you still wait for whichever Sim card carrier that's on the phone? If so T-MOBILE will never update it lol

Factory unlocked devices get updates directly from BlackBerry.

I have Z30 factory unlocked and still have to wait for the carrier to bring an update! BlackBerry does not deliver it straight to your phone..

Where did you buy your phone? Are you sure it is factory/device unlocked, and not just SIM unlocked?

Usually based on where you bought it.

If you bought it from a carrier, and then had it unlocked, then it is just SIM unlocked, which means you still rely on the carrier for updates. Some people have reported that you can get caught in limbo here too, and never get updates from anyone. You may have to use Sachesi.

If you bought it from BlackBerry themselves, it would be device unlocked. Updates then come directly from BlackBerry.

I've had. 1154 on my Passport for a couple weeks now and it's been flawless! Only thing I had to do after install was load up the blend bar and all was well. Has been the best OS I have used to date.

... I see. My Z10 is from the carrier ( Rogers, SIM unlocked I suppose) but my Z30 I bought through BlackBerry store during that great sale so, phone should be unlocked. Thanks.

It has some issues on Z30 also. Hope that bb doesn't think it's perfect.

Why would they think it was "perfect". There isn't a software package for any computer or mobile device that's perfect - ever.

N4BB reporting: At todays post-Classic event Q&A, BlackBerry confirmed N4BBs exclusive report that the new OS update, 10.3.1 will be available for in-market devices in February. Chen stated there was no specific schedule for each device as this is dependent on carrier approval, but February is the targeted date, according to BlackBerry President of Devices, Ron Louks.

Why is it February if we are just getting the same leak we are using now? That's ignorant. Better be a better build.

Clearly there are bugs to be ironed out. Maybe that's why they going through so many builds.

They want exclusivity for the Classic for 6-8 weeks. Helps with sales

    They already have your money.

Besides, if you're desperate, update yourself with Sachesi. It's simple. It's non-destructive.
