Rogers gives into the BlackBerry community - same day site is experiencing issues.
Guess Rogers can't handle the Z30 demand afterall.
Rogers can't handle the Z30. Rogers, did you order the Z30? You're Go**ann right I did!

Good for Rogers for doing that. I guess the feedback on FaceBook and Twitter worked.
I hope all those that did complain buy the Z30.

That's the problem with some of these internet protest... it's easy to get people to complin and write a brief rant. It's a totally different thin if they have to actually do something, or worse yet pay for something.

Rogers caved to the "Vocal Minority", but they did it in a way the exposes them to the least amount of risk. Maybe they will revamp the internet page to show the Z30, or maybe it will be for phone orders only. Same tech support of the Z10 should work for the Z30. And even if they don't sell all 100 devices that they order, so for very little cost they can get rid of the "protesters".

I hope all those that forced them buy one. Must have been significant numbers to make them change their minds.

I honestly doubt it, very much. To be fair, I think some people that complained were more concerned about pointing out the hypocrisy of the FairForCanada rhetoric followed closely by not carrying a 'Canadian' product. Which is fair, imo. In all honestly, I am almost certain I would have considered tweeting Rogers about the mixed message even if I was still an iPhone user right now. Obviously Rogers agreed that the optics were bad as they (partially) reversed their decision.

I'm one of those that complained about Rogers not carrying the z30. Despite their promise to carry it they haven't delivered (yet). Tomorrow I've secured a z30 from Bell so Rogers can suk it.

Same with me, I complained to rogers, but they are still "testing" Z30. Well if they wouldn't have been so stupid in the first place they would be releasing it tom. But since there not, they still lost my money lol and I'm getting mine from either bell or Telus full price (off contract)

Interesting. Well, it's only been days since they reversed their decision so to be fair it will probably take a bit to get the wheels in motion... Be curious to see how long it takes Rogers to have the Z30 available to customers in any event.

If I wanted to go tin foil hat, I'd suggest that they're in no rush in order to have poor sales and thus justify their original decision. NOT saying that's what's happening, just taking a conspiracy view for kicks...

On a side note, I've never understood what this "testing" means when it comes to carriers. We always seem to hear about it on Crackberry when it comes to new BB10 phones... As someone who switched from another platform I've never heard that phrase before. Not even sure what they're "testing" given that issues like the random reboot on BB10 happened anyway, despite all their testing.

Isn't the z30 supposed to be released on Tuesday in Canada? Not any mention of it, or any online ordering on the Rogers website.

Rogers will carry the Z30 (online)!-img_00000450.jpg

Apparently they're still testing. Read three posts above yours.

Telus has it ready for tomorrow.

i can pretty much guarantee no one knows they can reserve them as rogers has not released any info or press releases about it. They just quietly made the z30 available through their reservation system.

No in-store demo units, no confirmed price, no confirmed delivery date.... but wait we will take your $40 deposit. Seriously!!?? Rogers marketing of the Z30 pays lip service at best to consumer demand. With carrier support like that it's no wonder BB continues to struggle to gain strength in a market where the 10 is the premier platform.... only so few know it.

I ordered it online, and used the free 3-day shipping. (Removed SIM Card from the cart). The order processed just fine, I used my credit card and got the confirmation and everything. I guess we'll see whether or not they ship it soon

This isn't the first time I've ordered a Telus phone online, without a contract or being an existing a customer.
