Anyone see this today on Foxnews.com? Its on their business section it said that "tech giant and BlackBerry maker Research in Motion (RIMM: 116.20, -7.07, -5.73%) posted big losses without any major company news."

The story also talked about EVERYONE lossing as gas prices went up again!!

So anyone know what may be going on? Or you think its just the stock trend to be lossing right now.

it's just a trend...look at the market as a whole... RIM is ok....but needs to get back on a little better track

I think RIM is probably putting a TON of money into R&D right now so they can put out products that are AHEAD of the competition for greater profits in the long-term.

In previous articles the CEO has talked about how their R&D works on stuff 3 years in advance... so its tough to attribute profits/losses from this quarter to activity from the same quarter, etc..

    Does that make sense?

The economy sucks right now...many companies are hurting...no biggie as far as RIM is concerned.
