Has anyone had success with TD Canada and Telus?

I'm guessing if I get the right Sim card it will work but just wondering first...

I also can't see the v1.3 app in app world. I'm on 10.2.1 and have all the other requirements (NFC SIM, etc.)

Did RBC or BB pull the v1.3 app until they fix the issue with crashing if you don't have an NFC SIM (reported in the reviews)?

Can someone who hasn't upgraded yet confirm that v1.3 is available in App World? I'd like to know if this issue is specific to me or if the app is reverted to v1.2 and will get fixed eventually.

I can confirm that they pulled the update.

I tried it today. Cool to pay with a tap... but the main complain I have was that it was a bit slow to unlock the wallet in the RBC app

My complaint is the keypad the app gives you to enter your pin. Its flipped upside down from ATM and debit machine keypads, and there's no corresponding letters on the keys. The energy required to spatially rotate that around in my head, early in the morning, requires copious amounts of coffee which is what I'm trying to purchase with the app in the first place.

I downloaded the update but there's no wallet in the app. I'm on a Q5. Guess it's not compatible.

Lucky you. Still waiting for CIBC to update their app to support the Z30...

I downloaded it for my Z10 as well as the Q5. No wallet there either. I'm both a Bell and RBC customer. Don't understand it.

You need a NFC micro sim, if you don't have they sell them at Bell or the Source for $4.95. If you have the NFC micro sim make sure NFC is turned on before you open the RBC app and an image of a bank card should pop up, once you turn off NFC the card disappears.

You need an NFC micro sim card even though the Z10 has NFC? Anyone know if Telus has one?

Edit: Never mind. Just checked the Telus website and educated myself

I'd be curious if this works on a Z30. TD website says it's only available on the 9900.

I have a Z30 and use the TD app. The TD app for BB10 devices does not have the mobile payments button at the bottom of the home page of the app, unlike the version shown on the TD website which is for a BB9900. If anyone has been able to get TD mobile payments working on a BB10, and specifically a Z30, please let us know how.

Which can't be done with the app versions for BB10, because the mobile payment button on the app's home screen isn't there, unlike the version for BB9900, which is the only supported BlackBerry at present.

I got my NFC SIM today and have been testing this, quite cool and works well but to be honest its a lot easier to get the actual card from my wallet than unlock my phone (picture password), turn on NFC (don't usually have it on to save battery), start the RBC app (this is slow), chose the card and enter the pin (also a little slow) and Finally Tap...

For me the real benefit is that I go out a lot without my wallet like when bike riding, etc. but I do always carry my cell, this is when it is really useful if I want to buy a drink or food, etc.

For those still trying to make this work, this is what you need:
    - A Bell Z10 or Z30 running OS 10.1.0.4181 or higher
    - An RBC account and Bank Card or Master Card
    - An NFC LTE SIM card
    - The RBC Mobile app (latest version is 1.4)
    - Make sure you have NFC turned ON before starting the RBC App, otherwise the Wallet will not show up

It would be awesome if the RBC app turned ON the NFC when needed and OFF when done, that way you don't have to worry about that. It is possible as the Tim Horton app kind of does it...

BTW, if you do not have an NFC LTE SIM, go to this link and fill the form, RBC will sent you one for free..

I had contacted TD about Z30/Bell access to their mobile payment....
"I appreciate that you would like to enjoy the benefits of the TD Mobile payment from your Blackberry Z30. At this time, regrettably; I don't have an update for you.
I understand that there are a variety of different mobile phones out there and I can assure you that we will continue to add more compatible devices to this feature. You can stay updated here on supported phones (copy and paste into your web browser): http://td.intelliresponse.com/mobilewallet/index.jsp?interfaceId=21&requestType=NormalRequest &source=100&id=3372&question=which+mobile+devices+ can+i+use+with+td+mobile+payment"

In other words... they suggest changing phones. I replied saying I'd rather change banks.

This is for the mobile app in general, that does no mean the mobile payment feature will be available. Mobile payment works
on a much reduced list of carriers / phone per bank at the moment...
