Who's channel? I have BB, BB Beta, and Michael Clewley and none of them said anything about this.

I see "BBIN" screen shot below but have no idea who they are other than a BB community in India (and their post doesn't say anything about a battery improvement).

You should start your own thread instead of going completely (not just a bit) off topic.

No it hadn't, that's from within the calling app not home screen.
Starting with 10.2.1.1055 they changed the fake in app "speed dial" to real home screen speed dial. You set it up just like the old "speed dial"

OK, it wasn't a bullet like in the original post, but that still doesn't explain who they are or where they are getting this information from.

The latest leak build available is dated 19 December if I recall correctly. None of the above is available in the leak yet, so I assume it's either under wraps deliberately or they have to start software development on all of the above.

The features have been spotted before but could be delayed.

So I'm wondering, how much more are they keeping a secret? Anyone heard anything else somewhere? Other than camera modes

It's possible that they've done the testing in closed doors and want people to be surprised instead of knowing what is coming with leaks.

What about if Google releases the Play Store in BlackBerry World? Technically it would be possible with 10.2.1...

I 100% believe that MOST* of the leaks, are controlled by BlackBerry.
This is almost certainly not the case, nobody would willingly diminish the impact of a release time and time again by letting people see stuff in an unfinished or buggy state as the people that were interested enough to install leaks would also be the ones to complain loudest about things giving BB further bad press.

If they were interested in external feedback on betas then they would have had a formal beta program on the beta zone by now rather than this conspiracy nut idea that rather than hating all leaks they are responsible for them.

It could even be the case that they have planned to do more than one release of 10.2.1 or have moved onto 10.2.2 internally and that report has conflated the two so you get stuff that is due in Jan being mixed in with stuff that is due later.

Face recognition has been in there since the first 10.2.1 leak...
High speed video capturing? Impossible as it requires a specific camera in order to capture at high speed. What's more likely is a new camera app or new setting that allows to manually set the FPS on your captured video making it appear to be slow motion.
Regardless, it will never be high speed video capturing as the camera on the Z10/Z30 isn't equipped for it. At best it will be a shooting mode that captures video and immediately processes it altering the FPS.

That being said, I love that they're calling it high speed video capturing. Finally, marketing is stepping up. This is a good move.

What kind of camera do we have now and what is needed for high speed capturing ?

I'll agree with your comment about the state of the software today versus at the launch of BlackBerry 10. But we know BlackBerry always over promised and under delivered and this troubling trend became evident with the release of the BlackBerry PlayBook and repeated with the release of BlackBerry Z10. The culture within the company has been its own enemy. Maybe Chen can purge the old culture and infuse an innovative culture. Maybe.

Over promising and under delivering has been a high tech method of operation since the early 80's. Nothing has changed.
