VoiceSignal said today that one of its speech solutions is embedded in the new BlackBerry 8800 smart phone.

Headquartered in Woburn, VoiceSignal provides speech-recognition solutions for mobile phones.

VoiceSignal's VSuite dialing application integrates with the address book on the BlackBerry 8800 enabling users to dial phone numbers with a voice command, VoiceSignal said.

Because VSuite is embedded in the new phone, there is no fee to download and use the application, VoiceSignal said; VSuite will work right out of the box with no training required and launches with a press of a button.

BlackBerry is a brand name for mobile devices marketed by Research in Motion Ltd. of Canada.

...thank God the Pearl has it already! It takes a while for it to work properly, then again it could be my English accent.

Funny Navilyn - you think it should take an English accent into account!

I found that it work ok. It's not great, but it's not terrible either. I really don't use it that often, but it's nice to know it's there if I want it.
