I wonder what Chen is specifically looking for in Israel's Huge tech industry.
WatchDox was the latest israeli company that BlackBerry bought.

I also find it interesting that you can't meet with the PM of Israel without getting someone mad.

But if it is for the betterment of BlackBerry, who cares?

They would probably not care as long as Chen keeps BBM going.

Don't want to get into politics here at all, but Netanyahu is one of my favourite public speakers. He's very charismatic, and good on his feet.

Hopefully the conversation doesn't involve gov't access to BlackBerry servers or be prepared to shut down in our country.

They laugh at me because I'm different; I laugh at them because they're all the same. 

I don't see Bibi being any of those things.
But Israel has great technology coming out of there.

I remember Waze was from Israel and Google bought them. I'm sure there are a bunch more in Israel which have the same potential. Let's hope watchdox is one of them.

I don't think it was about that the Israeli government wants to buy Blackberries for their staff because such deals aren't handled at that level.

This is to show you that Chen's the man. Bet you won't see the rest of those device makers making moves like this. BlackBerry's important to the ones that matter.

Time to put that  Chen Fu on them!

Hold on there! They most have sold it. According to waze they don't want to support BlackBerry anymore and at the same time they got that horrible android port in BlackBerry world that crashes every time you start it.

    Dear Wazer,

    Thank you for contacting Waze.

Weve looked into your issue and see that you are using a BlackBerry phone.

Unfortunately, we no longer support issues related to BlackBerry devices.

    Thanks,

    The Waze Support Team

I'm thinking google owns it now.

Yes. Google does own it now, but part of the deal, to my understanding, is that Google is not allowed to incorporate it into its network of products and services, and that the dev team remains in Israel.

    Regarding your point about the lack of support for BlackBerry from Waze;
They never had it in the BBW for Q devices anyway, I've been using the android version from the play store on my Q10 for about a year and a half without any problem.
No patching or GPservices required either.

It's there as an android port.

I tried using the one from snap and it won't even run. Maybe it's my version of runtime.

He may have been talking shop re: AtHoc and tech behind national security. After all, the TSA uses AtHoc's crisis management platform, so I'd imagine in a hot zone like Israel/Palestine there'd be a need for that kind of solution.
