To be honest I didn't read the linked article and assume it relates to market share in general.
Some larger institutions in Australia are adopting a 'wait and see' approach towards Blackberry and the direction it takes.

A 1% change in Australia.... what is that? About 100,000-150,000 units? In a year?

Correct. The numbers are, not surprisingly, absolutely brutal for BB.

Why is it that a "feel good" article/thread with some actual good news (far and few between these days) has to be highjacked with all the other negative news that's been flooding in. Can't people simply be happy with the reversal in trend in one of their markets? Sure it's a smaller market but damn..

The math in the article doesn't add up. The other three all made gains to total 12.6% at the expense of Android which lost 10.8%

Dont forget Other. The improved number is I am sure due to price cuts post write-off. BB would have done better with lower prices from the start.

The stock is tanking, it's currently below $6.50,
But please focus on the 1% gain in Australia.

This is something someone with little knowledge of how BBRY stock in particular and the market in general function would say.

Yes, sorry should have specified, but was in hurry.

The last two lines with Brazil/ Latin America (including Brazil) are a bit odd as well because only 2 of 3 points was available for both, and Brazil was included in LA (which is why I put them both in)

Also, the sept columns may be a bit different ie. end of sept for one, beginning of sept for another - I don't remember now...I was very sleepy.

In any case, yeah, you get the overall picture.

Yes, talk about it, but not about what it means, what the overall context is, how significant it is, how it compares to other nations, what it means to the company and it's future...or consumers and there future. No thought allowed!!! Just repeat: "Aussie 1 percent!! yay!!! Aussie 1 percent!! yay!!!" while rocking back and forth gently.
