Hi all. I'm new here and don't know where to post this: Radio Shack was offering new Blackberry phones for free (only $9.99 s&h) with a new or renewed 2 year contract, for all the major carriers. This was a one-day deal for Cyber Monday, but I noticed the deal is still offered on the website....for anyone interested. I have 2 9930's en route to me now!

    They arrived!!!

I got 2 9930's shipped to me (one for me and one for hubby) for a total cost to me of $9.99...one shipping fee for both phones. I'm feeling pretty happy about this deal.

And, I really am loving this phone. It's so quick and responsive, and the keyboard is amazing. I'm a happy camper!

I have tried calling the contact phone number over the last week or so and always get a fast busy. I have a grandfathered smaller/cheaper phone plan and I cannot get any info. I do not need more minutes. I don't even use the ones I have now. The online site only has a larger/costly phone plan.

Upgrading your phone through Radio Shack shouldn't affect your minutes at all.

They do make you sign up for the $30 data plan. I have a lower cost plan with less data from a promotion Verizon was running last year. When I ordered my new phone, I checked the option to keep my current plan, but when the phone arrived I noticed Radio Shack put me back on the $30 plan.

Before activating my new phone, I called Verizon and they let me keep my prior discounted data plan.

    Hope this helps.
