    Dear all,

Just now i read a newspaper and its said that there are 3 kinds of blackberry's manufactures. And its said it is associated to the quality of the products too.
I juat want to know, is it really true about that.

This is the statement from what i read..

    ------------------------------------------------------
    | Manufacture | Class | Quality |
    ------------------------------------------------------
    | Canada | A | BEST |
    | Hungary | B | GOOD |
    | Mexico | C | BAD |
    ------------------------------------------------------

    Is it true or not..

I work in Quality and Procurement for a large Multinational and there's no way they'd use a Supplier/Source classed as "bad".
This is electronics with minimal human input, so you could make this stuff anywhere. The machines used are almost certainly the same as well.
Quality is determined by overall Company requirements but also local policy, hence there may be small fluctuations but not enough to split up the Suppliers like that.
Maybe you'd see a metric of Quality of 99.5, 99.2, and 99.7 percent, but not as crude as the format of A, B, C.

It's made in those places, but I highly doubt they purposely have a "C' for bad.

Mine was made in Canada and I've never had any trouble with it. But according to that article that's the best. Not quite sure about the article though. Just curious what newspaper that was in?

8900 made in Mexico, normal faults with the 8900 including wobbly keyboard, screenwave on the LCD and loose end button!

Storm #1 = made in Canada, dead pixels and screen click issues, returned it at the store w/in 3 days.

Storm #2 = Mexico, perfect out of the box, no screen pixel or click issues.

More than likely, all produce great products, but what this could mean is each manufacturing location is tracked for how many returned/replaced units they have had.

In that case, this would mean Canada would have the fewest returned/replaced and Mexico would have the most.

My canadian 8330's screen was superior to any Mexican made screen. Mexican screens have a horrible greenish hue. Every one I've seen. And this has been talked about on here with this green hue on mexican bbs

My first pearl had a button get pulled off by a faulty leather pouch, second pearl had scratched screen, both made in Canada, third pearl was mexico and perfect.

Scott's first pearl was freaking POSSESSED. This thing had a mind of it's own and would kill a battery in 3 hours. Made in Canada. Replacement was Mexico and is flawless.

Depending on the Device (Pearl and Curve here ) the manufacture location is printed on the sticker underneath where the battery is located.

Pearl(s) I had unknown locations, but all 4 had issues. glad to be gone.

Curve: Made in Mexico, so far no issues (only 4 days old ) but lack of APN is driving me MAD(CDMA Telus)
