Executive Column: BlackBerry wants to get back on track | The Jakarta Post

BlackBerry Phablet seems to be on its way.

Also, Chen hopes to sell 1 million Z3 but does he mean in Indonesia or everywhere?

From the context, I think he was refrring to 1 million in the Phillipines alone. Sounds optimistic. Hope he's right.

Erm, The Phillipines is a smidge North of Indonesia... so a typo?

I took the context as just Indonesia. So, yes, a million seems very hopeful.

Is the Phablet Windermere? I wouldn't consider Windermere a Phablet.

Well, if they plan to release the Z3 here then they will have a plethora of Android phones here. A good enough price should be in place plus something like the "Jakarta" edition

I think this time next year the product lineup should really start to fill out some. Hopefully a tablet will be on its way next year as well. But first I can't wait to get my hands on a Q30 already.

John Chen hopes to sale at least a million or more with Z3 in Indonesia market. I believe him and he gives us a clue for the next quarter. He was talking about Indonesia market only. I think he makes the right move by partnership with Foxconn China to build affordable phone with high quality, not some kind of low quality by Samsung. He tries to put more phone on people's hand so they know how powerful BlackBerry BB10.2.1 is. He tries to create a chain reaction.
