Retailer ran out of Kindle Fire's and figured RIM wasn't really using them....

    Love the Math, but I the PlayBook box is appox 9" x 9" x 2" so on a standard 40" x 48" pallet we'd see 5 x 4 formation giving us 20 Playbooks per layer,

assume a 3.5' or 42" stack due to the height of the wooden pallet, meaning we could fit approximately 20 layers, or 400 PlayBooks per pallet,

    400 X 22 = 8800 PlayBooks

Though we have heard that there are 5200 PlayBooks so lets say they probably only stacked 12 PlayBooks high being 5280 Lost Playbooks at a retail value average of $326 each to be assumed,
If I remember well, the PB build cost is around 205$ (depending of the amount of RAM, mostly). So your 8800 estimation is quite solid

Wow. Very convenient. Cheaper than the announced charge off they were taking.

I guess this is one of those Dumb *** moments when the crooks open the back of the lorry then look at each other and say "we didn't think this threw did we?"

if Rim cant sell them, what chance do a couple of crooks have!

or could that be the plan, Rim- well park a lorry full of PB`s that we cant sell (cause if we reduce them any more wed get laughed at) and you sell them to the underworld and we get a kickback of 50%.

"To get something to eat" is probably a valid excuse for leaving the truck... but "to take shower"!?! gosh, even the writer and director of the Dumb and Dumber didn't thought about that...

I hope they find those Playbooks soon. There's a lot of people who'd be itching to buy them at the reduced price including myself.

You've never been involved with heavy trucking I guess

LOTS of times these guys live in their truck for 3-5 days at a time getting out to have a shower and food is a very valid thing,
Though I don't drive a Transport, I've often used the trucker rest stop showers after a 2-3h drive in the summer and having a meeting to go to.
