Yeah, I get their emails, and today's email had the typo as the deal of the day or something like that. I thought they couldn't sell any more of them?

I think someone said retailers with stock are allowed to sell through.

The ban is only for the US market.

They sued them in a US Court. I don't know why Typo would stop making them if there's worldwide demand. I could get one from an online retailer, no problem.

Having said that, I dunno why anybody wants to strap that contraption to their iPhone.

As one who loves BB keyboards, I know I could be very tempted to switch from BB if another phone with a similar quality keyboard ever entered the market. An iphone won't do it to me, but if this was out for a top of the line Android phone, then I don't know if I could resist the switch.

Hope it does well. Especially if BBRY prevails in court.

I can't believe they did not pursue it further to get a worldwide ban. I think they just got happy with a US ban and rested on it expecting that other countries would not buy it. That means Americans can buy it from anywhere outside and get it either way. Now that sucks!

It's frightfully expensive to pursue litigation. I'm sure BBRY didn't just get "happy" and stop; it hit Typo in its strongest market.

Does seem like a lot of wasted effort and money. However the symbolic victory matters to some, I guess. But suing Typo in every country it's available is just unrealistic.

I guess BlackBerry isn't proudly Canadian if they didn't bother to stop file a suit in their home country.

Check out their website http://typoekeyboards.com they have a new Typo2 that is less of a knock off of the BlackBerry keyboard style. Looks much crappier, very cheap looking

    Here's the actual link:

To me that might look a little less like knock off, but it still looks like a BlackBerry keyboard to me.

Looks super crappy, you're right. The original actually looked decent. I feel this whole story was good press for BlackBerry, proves that their keyboards are indeed unique and the best.

Now that they won the US court case, go ahead and let Typo sell it worldwide and sell this crappy one in the States. Maybe it'll get people hooked on keyboards again and one day crave the "real" thing. The battle's been won.

I love how that Typo2 image on their website makes the phone look exactly like some of the fanmade 16:9 Windermere renders we have seen here.

You know, the ones that got bashed for being ridiculously long and probably unbalanced etc.

    BlackBerry 10 signed.

No, not yet. I'm not even aware that it has gone to trial yet. Last reports were simply of the injunction.

Whatever the outcome of the final copyright infringement decision, they got sales blocked in the US and forced Typo to produce this 2nd super crappy version for sale there. I count that as a win.
