Yes yes yes finally, but it's very interesting that this feature is restored on the bridge now when it's about to go cross platform. People have been asking for all the apps on the bridge to be restored. How difficult can it be???????

    Z10 all the way.....

Good start..but still not able to get into my group chats, only contact chats at the moment.
    Ditto.
Was hoping the PB BBM would mirror my Z10 BBM

Just update bridge on your phone and its there on PB. For some reason I can't see the icon but the text is there (BBM)
Haven't tried a restart yet but anyway it's working.

Under your PlayBook settings just open Bridge and pair with your phone. The icon will then show up on the PB.

    No Bridged SMS, email etc.
    Half backed update.

Sorry but no one I know uses BBM. Happy for those that do.

    Fail for everyone else.

The bridge icon will show, then you open the Bridge Icon and see a readme and BBM.

Silly question.. did you update on both the playbook and your BB10 phone?
Just the phone. Reconnect your playbook after.

Really? Full BlackBerry 10 functionality as the website headline says?

Wrong. Misleading and just plan incorrect.

    No bridge email.
    No bridge SMS.
    No bridge contacts.
    No bridge calendar.

Come on folks., your so happy to get anything out of BlackBerry that folks are blinded. Or just making it up as they go.

    Sad....

It could be fully restored, but it is totally unnecessary. E-mail can be added to the PB, contacts can be added to the PB, calendar can be added to the PB. It's all in the cloud/Outlook or whatever, and sync'd between devices without the need for a "Bridge". Your argument might be more valid for notes/SMS, but with Evernote available on PB and integrated into BB10, and SMS being used less frequently, it hardly seems worth the effort.
I would prefer they keep working on "new" ways to improve BB10. Making BBM Bridge is the least they could have done now that it is going Xplatform (meaning other tablets will get access to it), and I consider it a gesture of good will.

Please continue ontopic, this is a good development for BB10/PB owners, not another opportunity for complaining!
I don't agree with your OPINION, I enjoyed having it all on my PLAYBOOK, as this development is good , I'm not sure someone with 103 post should tell me not to complain.

For those who cant see the icons in the bridge folder on the playbook after the update on your phone, just reboot the PB and it's settled.

Glad it's got some functionality back but disappointed they didn't bring back the other features as well. Will be extremely happy if they continue to update with more features.

I guess just a few people are working on this as it's a discontinued device, maybe we will see more but don't hold your breath

Everyone is free to their own opinion of course. I was just hoping this topic could focus on the free and unexpected update we got, instead of other functions which may or may not come back.
There are plenty of other topics discussing which legacy Bridge functions would be worth it on BB10.

Some folks were just pointing out that the CB article was kinda wrong to say that bridge was fully restored.

I am considering buying a PlayBook to settle in my car and be used for navigation, music, email, browsing.
Never used the bridge so a couple questions:
1.I assume it pairs via BT?
    2. Will I gain full Internet access on the PlayBook without "hotspot" plan from AT&T (browsing, Skype, email) ?
    3. If 2 is yes, Will that be system wide, or only within the "bridge" app on the PlayBook?

I want the other stuff back. Email, Contacts, Memos. Yeah, I can play Grumpy really well and BB has given me plenty of chance to practice. FIX IT ALL.

Not only that, but tethering access. I hate this gutted version of Bridge.
