    Thanks Android evangelists on Crackberry for derailing yet another thread.

    Blend is unique. To those that say that Nokia Communication Center did it first, this is not true. NCC did not communicate with an Enterprise Server at all.

    IT Departments are struggling with NTLM, Kerberos and other authentication protocols Internally. External access almost always required the use of VPN, RSA Keys, and a remote desktop client that hogs bandwith. Microsoft UAG is also a form of encrypted channel but does not work with your work phone and has limited features.

    Blackberry did it first.
