I don't get it. For me it is so clear. The person that tweeted with the iPhone did this because that was the only option. Let me explain:

Let me take a picture of my blackberry classic, mmh crap only have an iPhone, a well let's take the picture. Mmh, crap how do I transfer the picture back to my BlackBerry? Sjees, aaaargh, a well, that won't work, I will have to post it using the iPhone.

Do all GM employees own a GM? No.

Do all Ford employees own a Ford? No.

So don't tell me that there aren't any BlackBerry employees that don't own an iPhone.

This forum is getting paranoid and dumb.

I agree that the story is bullocks and who cares......

But, I wouldn't expect a Ford salesman to try and sell me a ford while driving a Toyota.

BlackBerry is tweeting from an iPhone-imageuploadedbycb-forums1421188960.452541.jpg

Here it is. So what, big deal, get over it. It's nothing compared to the monumental task of keeping BlackBerry moving forward. Die hard fans won't care. Haters will hate and laugh. What ever. Go feed your brains with knowledge that matters.

Well, to be honest Twitter for iPhone is a much better option to tweet stuff.
Perhaps this should be a nod to BB/Twitter to create a better client for BB10..
Twitter on my Q10 is definitely not smooth.

Erm, BlackBerry cares? Otherwise they wouldn't of deleted it.

    - Chen made fun of the bendy iphone.
    - Said blackberry wouldn't get hacked like iCloud.
    - Made fun of Microsoft over some mic glitch.

To be cocky like that you've got to be air tight yourself so nothing can bite you in the *** later, this tweet however minor is friendly fire whilst trying to climb back up the ranks.

As of this post, this story has gotten over 1000 retweets. That's massive exposure in a few hours, and it will likely be picked up by major media outlets in the coming day.

The bottom line is a lot of people have given up on BlackBerry, and this stupid error makes it appear as though even BlackBerry have given up on BlackBerry. The optics are absolutely horrible.

It's time the company take a Steve Jobs-style approach. You want to work for BlackBerry? You do your work with a BlackBerry, and if you want to use your iPhone for work, then go work for Apple.

Obviously it makes sense for certain UI and hardware design people to use other devices to expand their creative process, but for marketing personnel? Absolutely unacceptable.

The tweet was probably sent by an outsourced social media management company (e.g. Hootesuite), they can use whatever phones they want. It looks bad yeah, but it's also the least relevant story of the year.

I saw this and knew there would be entertainment value to be had.

Alicia Keys does it and people wanted her head on a pike. BlackBerry themselves do it and it's an outsourced social media company.

    Okie dokie.

The most relevant story is the one the most people talk about. This is the sort of scandalous crap that BlackBerry bashers dream about at night - right up there with a big security breach. Worse, it confirms any number of narratives regarding lack of apps, hardware adoption is sagging, whatever.

Finally, if it were posted by a third party, like Hootsuite or Sprinklr, is expect the third party would be using...drumroll please...the Hootsuite or Sprinklr apps, not "Twitter for iPhone".

Have a peek in @BlackBerry's tweet history and see where all their other tweets come from. It's usually Sprinklr. This was a serious breach of protocol by someone who was (and evidently shouldn't be) given the proverbial keys to the kingdom - the ability to tweet from @BlackBerry.

Its relevant when posts like "not even BlackBerry use BlackBerry's any more", adds more fuel to an already burning fire. Bad choice by the poster of the Tweet.

I wonder how the number of people that have lost their jobs due to twitter compares to those that have lost jobs due to porn.

Because one of those is arguably much closer to being worth it than the other.

If this was a marketing firm's move, there is a person at that firm right now getting heads shaken at him/her right now...

And I'll guarantee they're feeling pretty bad, and rightly so... kind of a silly mistake for a marketing professional to make.

To be fair though, I also guarantee that everyone on this forum has made a worse mistake at a worse time... and (going out on a limb) I'm fairly certain BlackBerry won't stop being a company over this. In the meantime, everyone, let's enjoy the chuckle and not get so serious!

Wait, if you have iPhone6 you should be able to NFC the picture back to your Classic. Or send yourself that image. Many ways to get that image. On your Classic to tweet it from there. :-)

Anyway, it's embarrassing life goes on. I hope whoever posted this tweet hopefully doesn't lose his job. Sh*t happens.

The media will jump on anything they thing that will earn them clicks. The more drama the better. BlackBerry is an easy target.

Wow... This is embarrassing... And to make it worse, The Verge also bashes BlackBerry's app issue by saying " And in case you were wondering, yes, a Twitter app for BlackBerry most definitely does exist."

Hopefully this doesn't happen again. The Verge waits for BlackBerry to make mistakes like this just so they can write about how awful they are.

Good Lord...BlackBerry is a multi-platform MDM company now. They *need* other devices in their hands for testing and such. Who the F cares if they tweeted from an iPhone? It's just ridiculous how far people will go to try to trash a company.
