Besides, I think he just got them from the value declarations when they passed through Indian customs. No confirmation, of course.

The price of devices meant for Indian market are way higher than those meant for North American markets. If this is what is quoted for overseas, I am sure the prices will be way lower. $250 and $600 perhaps? Having said this, even if the price here is $800 I will pay without a word. Let them come!!

It's listed ₹63,262* not ₹53,262. Besides, it's the price of an imported testing unit. The retail price would be different when it will be released.

I believe the value declared for the imported test devices has nothing to do with the market price at launch. It's simply a conventional number, in my opinion, provided in order to comply with custom regulations.

Yeah, I highly doubt BlackBerry would release a device for $1,000 that's too high. Once you go over that $799 price point, you are cutting of 80% of your market. IMO

Pricing again. The Slider has better tech than the S6 and the S6 was expensive. So this Slider phone can only be expensive too. It wouldn't make sense otherwise. Especially with the curved screen and glass.

Dont know about the Metal Passport, but 550 USD might be right.

At ~650 I'd buy the slider day one.

$800 would be harder to justify, but with electronics the overseas price does not always correlate to the direct exchange price in USD or CAD so hopefully it's lower.

Depends on what carrier msrp they slap on. Each one has their own guideline for BlackBerry phones for the purpose of subsidizing them for 2 years

I don't think Android is going to be an instant reversal of the BlackBerry image with Carriers and Retailer. And certainly not with some flagship device. . Either Sprint has lost a lot of those Nextel corporate accounts over the last few years.....or Sprint chose not to pickup the Classic and the LEAP is an indication that their Enterprise customers are not pressuring them to provide BB10 devices. And I doubt sales in general have them thinking they were wrong.... no really sure what T-Mobile came back for.

But anyway an Android Slider would still be a BlackBerry device... and until it's release, the price points are known, the features are announced and reviewed.... I wouldn't count on Carriers (at least in the US) being willing to "invest" in another BlackBerry beta product.

I'm not expecting a Sprint model of any of these phones. I'll wait a few months, then get the Venice on T-Mobile.

Also, Venice? I know that won't actually be the name but smh there's already a Venice. I think it was LG or maybe Kyocera?

BlackBerry isn't know for doing much research before they stick a name on something....

But the LG Venice has been discontinued, and I think it was only a low end prepaid US device from three years ago. So I doubt you'd have too many issues with name confusion. But yeah the "city" names are usually just the pre-production names

$840? That won't sell nor is it worth that much regardless of specs. MAX price should be $599usd.

I agree $840 is really pushing it. $599 to $699 max for this. They need to sell this damn thing not discourage people from buying because of the price.

Most likely it will be running BB10. If it's running Android, I won't even look at it. But I think their aim is to release both versions of it. BB10 first followed by an Android version. But it will be released running BB10 for sure.

It's been around since last week.
Keep in mind 'that' is the price they DECLARED to the customs.
Imported goods with NO current price value, they need to declare a price to insure it.
This is common to put high price on it since it's not launch anywhere in the world yet.
