With BlackBerry stock price up today 9%, was surprised to see this negative article saying Toyota will be going with AGL over QNX starting in a few months.

    Any truth to it?

Proable..... QNX today is not the QNX of yesterday.

I do expect AGL is going to hurt some of QNX's business. But then I think like Chen said, the business is changing and licensing in these smarter cars will be with multiples, based on how many separate smart systems there are.

That said, I expect that much like with other systems... the hardware drivers and people able to code the software will favor AGL.

Interesting. I know Toyotas new entuene 3.0 in new cars is open source. Upgradable through dealer and over wifi. Guess thats the future now.

Then AGL is the new group made of many auto manufacturers.

I saw this online as well, although I believe it was a different article, I also heard that profit for the company is down, causing the stock price to drop 11% I believe

The company that's at a loss is Toyota in the end. As soon as there alternative choice gets hacked over and over again. Lol

thats probably Chen's biggest failure, not the mobile side of the company. Getting any car makers onboard with some flavor of QNX Car 2.X which would've been a driver for growth. The non-infotainment part of QNX doesn't produce much revenue. on a per unit basis.
