It is a mystery to me why US and LATAM carriers are ALWAYS late. Is it incompetence? Is it arrogance? Is it apathy? Whatever it is, it's frustrating.

I'm currently using the leaked OS 10.2.0.1047, which is software release 10.2.0.149.

When I go to "Software updates" there is nowhere to click to check for updates. Is this normal and the update will get pushed to my Q10 automatically? Or is this a leaked OS issue?

    Thanks

US is scheduled for this "Winter". That gives Verizon plenty of time since winter ends next year on March 20th.

I'm in the U.S. so by the time we get the official version here there will probably be leaks for 10.3 available. U.S. carriers are really stupid. They should be working the releases to leverage sales.

*snap* . . I know this sounds impatient and immature, but I truly think I've reached the end of my rope with this constant waiting crap (US BB person here) just so sick and tired of coming soon and coming later and maybe not coming at all . . . . . "You mad bro?" Yup, d@mned right I am, just feeling like a whiny entitled b!tch today . . . .

US Carriers have this narrow viewed, investor focused, non-vendor supporting problem; low/no BB10 sales = low/no return on BB sales = low/no benefit to shareholders resulting in no priority to invest opex for testing device software upgrades.

That's if they even bother. Given that BB10 devices have such an infinitesimally small market share in the US, they might just decide it's not worth devoting any resources to testing, etc.

Maybe we're the ones that let small flaws heavily overshadow the positives of new features... because we're ungrateful whiney punks... so they hold off until Canadians, Europeans, Asians, etc. Have diligently experimented and found the kinks. Lol

When Apple rolls out an update to IOS does it come through the carriers or direct from Apple? Just curious why upgrades need to come from carriers at all.

Directly from Apple... because they have their own RF testing lab, and because... they're Apple.

I just got an update notification on my Z10 with Rogers....10.2.0.424. Only downside is the server might be getting hammered as I can't establish a connection to download the 474MB update.

Edit: Looks like it was just a hiccup, I'm downloading the update now!
