All they said was they shut down their BlackBerry phones. Not much of a big positive news at all.

"Forced to shut off their BlackBerries..."

"Forced" has a negative connotation, and this is in a list of other negative side effects of the government shutdown.

It would have been bad if it were like, "Employees got to shut off their BlackBerrys," because being without a BlackBerry would seem like a good thing.

Now, if only the author spelled it "BlackBerrys," not "BlackBerries" (but I appreciate the second uppercase B )

Maybe we will all be forced to shut down BlackBerry's all over the world but Thor doesn't care! He will have his 55 million reasons not to care about all of us! Very selfish, just sayin

I don't see how this will be a positive or negative press for bb. There are more pressing matters at hand

The only way our BlackBerrys will shut off is if the world runs out of electricity and we can't charge them, or if all of our cellular providers lose connectivity and our BlackBerrys become useless.

$55 million or not for Mr. Heins, our phones will still be on, even if he's off on some island somewhere

It's not positive news - the article implies that BBs are strictly for gov't business.

It was not only free advertisement, there was no mention of shutting down iPhones or Androids. That says a lot right there. No one cares if it isn't a BlackBerry. Anything other than a BlackBerry just isn't important enough.

I used my Z10 to create this CrackBerry madness!
