He is off-loading shares to bring his holdings below the 5% threshold. If he was liquidating his entire BlackBerry investment he would collect approximately USD500 million. That would send the share price plunging and essentially kill any chance of resuscitating the company.

Nonsense. ML is irrelevant to BlackBerry's future. He lost control to Watsa. He couldn't come up with a bid - though he tried. The BOD shut him out. They likely give him little projects to keep him busy, like an owner's child. Why would anyone care what the guy who drive rimm into the ground thinks?

Don't confuse fundamentals with the stock price. ML is not involved in anything that would or could impact blackberry's future.

If Mike L. sold all his BlackBerry shares the price on the market would drop very quickly. He still owns 4.99% which is not chump change.
