    The rapper Romeo posted a video yesterday on his instagram showing someone hacking his he was locked out of his phone for 5 mins he said. In the video he was showing everything the hacker was doing.

    If BlackBerry's ID username and password database gets hacked and one has BlackBerry Protect switched on on the phone the exact same thing could happen.

    I doubt it was Apple that was hacked (but hey, who knows :shrug: anything is possible). As a couple have mentioned above, due to the somewhat isolated geographic area limitation, a local AU site was probably breached. And I'd be willing to bet that if any of those users that recycle passwords also use other device platforms, there may be similar occurrences outside of iOS devices (assuming the perpetrator decides to act on it).

    If some of the Apple ID servers were in fact hacked, which I believe is what's happening, Apple's PR firm would bury this story in five days.
