Funny enough, that's what they did for the GSM Passport. If only Verizon and Sprint dropped CDMA like the rest of the world.

    Posted via CB10
CDMA is not exclusive to USA. Secondly migration from CDMA is already in progress with LTE.

In progress.... but still over a year away.

I have no idea who around the world still uses CDMA, but I haven't seen any CDMA devices on shopblackberry.com before.

That's not what I meant, I was referring to him saying, "No Passport for Verizon". As this has neither been confirmed nor denied; in fact we have conflicting information on it which is why people are confused and still asking if there's any new info on a Verizon variant. The OS hints to a Verizon model, but no official word whether it will see the light of day or not; and now word of an AT&T exclusivity, that just makes this all confusing and frustrating.

The OS has the Passport because Verizon did test it and initial was planning to carry the Passport. But based on the original rumors that Verizon wouldn't have the Passport... they canceled those initial plans.

Let's face facts folks, we Verizon users are not getting the Passport. Nothing else to see here so let's get over it & move on. At&t exclusive, and no Verizon version ever passed through fcc so that's pretty much a wrap for us. Might as well look at the Classic if you want something new, move to at&t when it comes out, or grab an unlocked version (when you can find them available) and use a gsm prepaid carrier or something. Hopefully people will finally accept it because every thread or article about the Passport we get comments like "when is Verizon getting it?". We're not so let's keep it moving fellow crackberry readers on Verizon.

I called today and she said it would likely be coming in January. I don't have a ton of faith in that answer though. She said the only bb they sell now is a z10.

Maybe if everyone on cb calls Verizon they will try and get it sooner.
Our Verizon stores here in NJ still have the Q10 as well

Yeah its not coming. There's just so many Verizon threads asking the same thing. I thought maybe everyone wanted a different response finally.

I don't see that happening anytime soon. Would be nice to finally get rid of cdma though.
