"Many of the same companies distributing Google Play apps also distribute apps via Apple, and tracker companies openly advertise Software Development Kits compatible with multiple platforms. Thus, advertising trackers may be concurrently packaged for Android and iOS, as well as more obscure mobile platforms.”

Most people and family I know don't care and don’t understand the importance of privacy and how the lack of it can affect them.

I agree that this is the reality. Not sure what needs to happen for people to think differently.

Ask Edward Snowden, Ladar Levison (lavabit email) or my fellow Australian Julian Assange about digital privacy... ;-))

You see what the problem with that reply is?

YOU don't care. But I do.

And yes, the fact that you don't care hurts my ability too.

    We should all care.

I don't care on the surface. You'd have to convince me and millions others. I don't see the harm in data mining..

If you did stop it... you'd be back to paying a couple hundred dollars every few years for software updates. And apps like email services and mapping services would be subscription based too.

I know I could use a VPN and a private browser for more privacy, but as is I just turn off most of the Google tracking options that are in the settings and use a private browser where I can... many sites won't work now without ads or cookies turned on.
