    Hi everyone at Crackberry
I'm a newbie, this is my first post.
I'm changing from an iPhone 5 to a Z10. I've read two posts about formatting an sd card.
I want to move pictures and music to the card. I have PC desktop with Windows 7.
One post said to format the card in the device, another said to format the card in the computer, then reinsert in the device.
So I'm not sure which is the way to go. I have a 32 gb samsung card.
    Thanks for your help.

Welcome to crackberry and the BB10 experience. I personally just used my phone to format the sd card and it worked fine for me. Enjoy your Z10!

Welcome. Format in the phone cleanly prepares it for use in the phone and creates the necessary folders (which happens in any event)

If it's a 32GB as you mention, then format it in the phone.
If you plan to go with a 64GB, some people were unable to format it in the phone and had to do it in their PC. This happened to me.

I always format in the phone. But I also make a copy of all my stuff too somewhere else just in case.
