Can someone please tell me why whenever I try to log on to hotmail.com I just get a blank page?

Surely a BB could cope with this request?

what is happening and can someone please tell me how to fix this.

Way back when Hotmail was created, it was a simple HTML application that would run on nearly every computer.

The later versions are Ajax applications.

Ajax (programming - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Ajax (asynchronous JavaScript and XML), or AJAX, is a group of interrelated web development techniques used for creating interactive web applications or rich Internet applications. With Ajax, web applications can retrieve data from the server asynchronously in the background without interfering with the display and behavior of the existing page.[1] Data is retrieved using the XMLHttpRequest object or through the use of Remote Scripting in browsers that do not support it. Despite the name, the use of JavaScript, XML, or its asynchronous use is not required.[2]

I have a simular situation with my Java based mail program. It runs fine on a "real" computer, but not on my BlackBerry.

The Hotmail Plus (subscription required) version does support POP3 and SMTP access.

Try downloading Opera Mini and access it through that browser. Before I had OS 4.5 I used Opera to view my Yahoo and Gmail accounts.
