I am totally new to BlackBerry. Actually I found it better and got positive feedback about BlackBerry so far. I am back from other device.

I switched because I found a Z10 in a bargain.

I came from a feature phone.

I had a flip phone, contract was up and I grabbed a BB for these reasons:

1. Canadian company, eh! (After all, we invented Insulin and the green garbage bag!)
2. the 9810 slider was just way cool
3. I liked the idea of the keyboard - I did a large amount of texting, more so than phoning

Keyboard of course. Was tired of the iphone hype which turns out to be the same phone with a heavier price each year.

Push email and great battery life.

Before I had a Palm that you had to wait to get emails with and that could take up to 15 mins, and I had to have three batteries to make it through a day. A BlackBerry changed all that.... at least back then.

Most smartphone users today have no idea what the early days of smartphones was like, and why BlackBerry best fit the needs of smartphone users.

For my company it was the ease of deploying and managing a small fleet of devcies.... for no cost.

I got a hand me down Curve 8520 many years ago and it snowballed from there.

Well I didn't exactly switch as get offered this phone for work. I worked for a wireless carrier in sales for about a year and received a Blackberry Priv as my work phone (well actually I asked for one if a company Blackberry was shipped in). I loved it. I always tried to sell it to people and loved whipping it out to show off the hidden keyboard and other nifty perks of the Priv. The only reason I haven't gotten one for personal use yet is because I'm waiting for their new top-of-the-line phone to come out. Sorry, but I'd rather wait than get the DTEK50.
